With more than 35 years of experience, his representative transactions include various complex asset-based financings, project developments, dispositions and acquisitions. He also has particular experience in business and investment fund formation, business acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, debt restructuring, energy outsourcing and derivative transactions.

Stephen Barth, Senior Business Developer, Vitol Group

Stephen (Steve) Barth is a Senior Business Developer for Vitol, a multi-national commodity trading firm with positions and assets in all aspects of the energy production, processing, and delivery businesses. Vitol moves more than 8.0MM bbls of crude and crude related products each day and operates one of the world’s largest integrated delivery systems. Steve’s focus is on the company’s emerging activities in the renewable energy space focusing on the Americas. Vitol has a wide range of renewable energy assets globally, including solar generation, battery storage and renewable natural gas production facilities.

Michael Cullen, Project Development Counsel, Mainstream Renewable Power

Mike Cullen began his legal career in oil and gas as an in-house lawyer for Aker Solutions.  During that time, he managed the company’s legal affairs for its North America operations and handled negotiations internationally.  In 2018, Aker Solutions decided to leverage its offshore expertise and incubate an offshore wind development business.  Mike took the global legal lead of that business, in addition to maintaining leadership of the North American legal operations.  In 2020, after successfully concluding development partnerships in the US, UK and Asia, Aker decided to spin-out the offshore wind development business as its own company, Aker Offshore Wind.  Two years later, Aker Offshore Wind was merged into Mainstream Renewable Power (a recent addition to the Aker Group).  Today, Mike is Project Development Counsel - Asia & Americas for Mainstream Renewable Power and focused on offshore opportunities and projects.

Stephany LeGrand, General Counsel, ConnectGen

Stephany LeGrand is General Counsel for ConnectGen, a developer of solar, onshore wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States. Stephany’s experience in renewable energy spans project development, venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and support for ongoing operations and joint ventures. Prior to joining ConnectGen, Stephany worked at a Fortune 5 company, where she served as the global legal focal point for onshore renewable power and on the Onshore Renewable Power and New Energies Extended Leadership Teams and supported mergers & acquisitions, project development, and strategic development in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
