Luis Gomar, Paul Hastings LLP

Luis F. Gomar is a partner in the North America Corporate & Securities Practice, bringing more than a decade of experience advising on cross-border transactions in the energy and finance sectors. He has extensive experience in Latin America and is a frequent speaker on the Mexico Energy Reform.
Luis counsels clients on both domestic and international transactions involving divestitures, financing, fund formations, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly advises energy companies on contracts, formation and structure planning. He has significant experience representing clients on investment and expansion opportunities in the United States and throughout Latin America.

Ezequiel Artola, Baker McKenzie

Ezequiel Artola is a partner in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Practice Group in Buenos Aires. He advises clients on a variety of complex transactional, general commercial and regulatory matters, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements and corporate practice. Ezequiel was assistant professor of commercial and civil contracts at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and has written articles related to mining, oil and gas, and distribution and agency agreements.
Ezequiel’s practice is focused mainly in the areas of mining, oil and gas, energy, renewables and infrastructure. He has extensive experience in food, beverage, ports and agribusiness industries as well as in complex local and multijurisdictional M&A transactions. Ezequiel advises clients in major projects and cross-border deals, and in structuring alternatives, transactional documents, corporate, commercial matters and risk assessment. He also has extensive experience in pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, food, beverage, personal products and tobacco sectors. He also provides daily commercial, contractual and regulatory advice.

Martín Barreiro, Baker McKenzie

Martin Barreiro is experienced in various areas of tax law. He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, the Tax Sub-Committee and the Argentine Association of Taxation Studies. His extensive list of publications include "New Argentine Social Security System" for the International Company and Commercial Law Review and "The S.R.L. in the tax planning of US investors in Argentina" for the Economic and Tax Journal.

Martin’s practice focuses on general tax planning, international private banking, global tax planning and transfer pricing. He also provides sound tax advice for mergers and acquisitions transactions.
