The panelists will set out the landscape of government regulation of midstream pipelines at the federal and state levels. The panel will cover Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and State commission regulation of natural gas, oil, and liquids pipelines. Regulation of rates and terms and conditions of service, as well as infrastructure permitting, will be discussed, with a focus on highlighting the regional difference in midstream regulation in Texas and Louisiana, the Marcellus and Utica shales, and New England. The panel will also discuss current hot-button issues and the look ahead for 2023.
