Driving Development: The Regulatory and Policy Landscape for Renewable Energy at the State Level


Renewable development in the US has been driven by policy and regulatory activity at the state-level. Legislation, executive initiatives and rulings at regulatory commissions can create a market or dissuade development. We will look at some examples of vanguard state initiatives, including the New York CLCPA, and discuss some of the critical considerations for developers, investors, and asset owners when determining when and how to enter a state market.
