Ann L. Al-Bahish

Ann Al-Bahish is a partner in the Houston office of Haynes and Boone, LLP.  She is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and earned a PhD at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston.  Her PhD is in public health with a focus on health policy, epidemiology and environmental health.

Dr. Al-Bahish is a recognized environmental lawyer and litigator and has tried cases successfully across the country, before judges and juries, including in Texas and New Mexico.  She has represented multiple energy companies including those involved in oil and gas operations and renewables. Dr. Al-Bahish has also represented a variety of manufacturers, health care entities, real estate investors and developers, state and local governments, and start-up entities involved with energy, environmental, healthcare and consumer innovations. In addition to trying cases, Dr. Al-Bahish has worked on creative resolutions at large environmental sites including the incorporation of public health communications and solutions.  She has been involved in litigation and strategic counseling related to PFAS and other evolving environmental issues. She also is experienced with designing and implementing processes and documents that allocate environmental risks and responsibilities amongst parties.

Dr. Al-Bahish is a regular contributor to the Texas Environmental Law treatise published by Thomson Reuters, and she has also written and presented at conferences on PFAS, litigation tactics and environmental issues.
