Serving as Vice President & General Counsel, Chris Ruggiero leads the legal and government affairs teams at Monroe Energy, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines which owns and operates a 200,000 bpd refinery in Trainer, Pennsylvania.  Chris also plays a critical role in helping to lead Monroe through the complex and ever-changing dynamics of the energy industry by advising senior company management on all aspects of the law as well as other business matters.  

Prior to his arrival at Monroe, Chris served for ten years as Assistant General Counsel of Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P., during which time he led the negotiation of numerous acquisitions and other complex commercial transactions, oversaw environmental and USDOT compliance along with the company’s right of way department, supervised litigation efforts, and acted as the main point of legal contact for all day-to-day operations.
