As a graduate from The University of Cincinnati and having obtained his Juris Doctor conferred Cum Laude from Duquesne University School of Law, Daniel M. Syphard [Dan] is the Head of Legal and Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Operations of Cenovus Energy f/k/a Husky Energy, a Canadian-based integrated energy company.
For the last eight years, Dan has been responsible for three U.S. refineries and marketing groups selling petroleum products in the U.S.
Dan successfully manages and supports the day-to-day legal and corporate governance issues of the company which include his consistent involvement in commercial transactions, human resource matters, state and federal environmental, health and safety issues, litigation, antitrust, and generally identifying and addressing legal risks.
