John Bell is the Senior Vice President, Commercial at Colgate Energy, a private exploration and production company based in Midland, Texas with operations in the Permian Basin.  John joined Colgate in August 2017 after previously working at Vinson & Elkins LLP in the corporate group focusing on merger, acquisitions and private equity transactions in the oil and gas space.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in History and in Hispanic Studies and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business.
