Mark Christiansen’s practice involves the representation of oil and gas producers, purchasers and other sectors of the energy industry primarily in litigation matters. He practices with the Oklahoma City energy law firm of Edinger, Leonard & Blakley PLLC.

For over 20 years, he has served as lead editor and co-author of annual energy litigation updates in the United States for the “Year in Review” publication of the ABA’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER), and is lead editor for a simila annual energy litigation update published by the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Journal. Mark served as the national Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Litigation Committee of the ABA SEER from 2001–2003. In February of 2020, Mark received the annual Deans of Oil and Gas Law Award at the 71st Annual Oil and Gas Law Conference in Houston, Texas, presented by the Institute for Energy Law.

Mark has been listed in Best Lawyers in America under the practice areas of Natural Resources and Energy Law. He has also been listed in Oklahoma Super Lawyers on its list of the Top 50 lawyers in the State of Oklahoma and as a top lawyer in the area of Energy and Natural Resources Law, and has also been listed as a top attorney in the same field in Chambers USA Directory's listing of leading Oklahoma lawyers.
