Mr. Savage is the Assistant General Counsel of Carnelian Energy Capital Management, L.P., an investment firm based in Houston, Texas that focuses on investment opportunities in the North American energy space. Prior to joining Carnelian, Mr. Savage was an associate attorney in the Houston office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, an international law firm. While at Gibson Dunn, Mr. Savage represented oil and gas exploration and production companies, midstream companies, private equity sponsors and other financial institutions in corporate and transactional matters, with a particular focus on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. Mr. Savage received a B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D., cum laude, from The University of Houston Law Center.
