Ryan J. Morgan is the leader of Steptoe & Johnson’s Energy Transactions Practice Group, handling a mix of traditional natural resources and renewable energy projects. His practice involves representation of upstream exploration and production companies, investors, and private equity clients in negotiating complex transactions, operational agreements, and managing strategic business issues. Mr. Morgan provides trusted counsel on acquisitions and divestitures of upstream energy assets, regulatory guidance, and other oil and gas transactions, including joint ventures, participation agreements, joint operating agreements, exploration and development agreements, private equity financing transactions, and related industry contracts. In the past year he has guided a number of clients with projects using oil and gas in connection with cryptocurrency mining.
