Sherry Scott is a Senior Counsel in the Environmental & Safety Law section of the Exxon Mobil Corporation Law Department in Spring, Texas, where she provides advice and counsel on several climate and air-related policy, regulatory and compliance matters. Some of her more significant areas of expertise include carbon capture utilization and storage, federal and state greenhouse gas and methane regulations, the National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”) and national ambient air quality standards (“NAAQS”).

Prior to joining ExxonMobil in 2008, Sherry was a senior associate in the Litigation Section at Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. in Houston, Texas, where she handled complex commercial litigation and arbitration, tort litigation and medical malpractice cases. Sherry received her B.B.A. in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Houston in 1996 and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 1999, where she served as Articles Editor on the Houston Law Review.
