Shine George is Senior Tax Counsel at Chevron Services Company (a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc.) since July 2021, primarily advising the business on U.S. federal income tax planning matters for renewable energy transactions and projects.  Shine has over 15 years of tax experience, focusing primarily on taxable and tax-free acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations in domestic and cross-border transactions.   Prior to her current role, Shine was Senior Tax Counsel for Shell Oil Company for 4 years supporting its renewable energy business, and Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax, with KPMG for 7 years.   

Shine received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.  Following her undergraduate degree, Shine earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law.  She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. She is actively engaged in the community through the Junior League of Houston and loves traveling.
