Description

In the wake of the attack on Colonial Pipeline, what can the energy industry do to address the specter of cybersecurity attacks, including ransomware?  This session will explore developments in cybersecurity incident, the implications of recent ransomware variants for cybersecurity incident response, and tips to mitigate risk.

She investigated cybersecurity breaches while a prosecutor; now, while leading the firm’s Cybersecurity Team, she assists clients in cybersecurity planning, responding to data security incidents, and making necessary notifications. Beyond her work with clients, within Steptoe & Johnson, Shawn is a respected and sought-after colleague and serves on the firm’s Emergency Response Team, as its Privacy & Security Officer and is the Office Managing Member of the firm’s Bridgeport, West Virginia office.
