Jackie Hickman is an energy litigator who defends global exploration and production companies in a wide range of environmental and operational matters, including well-blowouts, legacy litigation, commercial disputes, expropriation/condemnation matters, and mass tort/exposure cases. 

As part of her practice, Jackie has managed all aspects of complex energy litigation from initial discovery through trial and appeal. Jackie has significant trial experience acting as second-chair of multiple mass-tort trials, conducting direct and cross examination of witnesses, and arguing motions and evidentiary objections. Jackie has also had significant success at the appellate level, including researching and writing successful briefs to Louisiana appellate courts and the U.S. Fifth Circuit.

Jackie earned her Juris Doctor and Degree in Comparative Law in 2014 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where she graduated magna cum laude. At LSU, Jackie was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and a trial advocacy competition champion. She received her bachelor’s degree in Government from Dartmouth College in 2005.
