Ingvild Ombudstvedt is a lawyer and economist, and the owner and founder of IOM Law. She has been working on legal issues relating to CCS, CCU, CCUS and petroleum since 2012 gained extensive experience with these issues globally. She works with private and public clients on regulatory, contractual and commercial activities and has extensive experience with capacity building and development of legal frameworks for petroleum, CCS and negative emissions.

Ingvild is appointed subject matter expert (since 2014) for CO2 storage, CO2-EOR, shipping, and quantification  verification, by the Norwegian Mirror Committee as part of the ISO Technical Committee TC 265, which is established to provide ISO standards for CCS and CO2-EOR. She is also a subject matter expert to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) TC 474 for CCUS. She is appointed Chair of the Norwegian Mirror Committee (delegation) to both these technical committees.

She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo, Norway, and is currently taking a Master of Laws in U.S. Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law at Lewis and Clark, in Oregon, US.

Ingvild is Member of the Norwegian Bar Association and IR Global.

African Legal Support Facility (ALSF)


Gadi Taj Ndahumba is Chief Legal Counsel at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF), an international organization hosted by the African Development Bank Group. He is responsible for the implementation of ALSF’s transactional support to African governments in the energy and sovereign finance sectors. The ALSF’s work spams across the African continent and is supporting the countries' efforts to tackle the energy deficit through conventional and innovative technologies.

Prior to joining the ALSF, Mr. Ndahumba was a project finance lawyer at a top-tier Canadian law firm, where he worked in the energy and infrastructure sectors. During his time in private practice, he advised several leading renewable energy companies which were paving the way toward wind energy as Canada began to diversify its energy sources.

Mr. Ndahumba is a lawyer and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Laws from McGill University, a bachelor’s degree in political science (international relations) from Université of Québec in Montréal and certificate of liberal studies from the Waseda University in Tokyo.

Mr. Kelsall is a Director in the Power, Renewables & Energy Transition (PRET) team within FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice based in Denver. He brings more than 15 years of corporate finance, merger and acquisition and capital markets experience across several industries and has extensive experience in valuations and financial modeling, capital markets, corporate development and investor relations.

Prior to Newmont Corporation, Mr. Kelsall spent 6 years at GVC Capital LLC, a boutique investment bank focused on capital formation and advisory services for small cap publicly traded companies. At GVC Capital, his responsibilities included transaction modeling, due diligence, investment documentation, and investor relations. While at GVC Capital, Mr. Kelsall maintained FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Mr. Kelsall holds Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Colorado at Boulder, a minor in Economics from University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master of Finance from University of Colorado at Denver, and a Master of Business Analytics from the University of Colorado at Denver. Mr. Kelsall serves on the Advisory Council for the JP Morgan Center for Commodities and Energy Management.

Prof. Badissy previously served as the Senior Attorney for Energy and Finance with the Commercial Law Development Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce, advising governments in emerging markets on commercial law reforms intended to catalyze private investment to increase energy access. Over the past decade, Mohamed has led energy sector reforms in dozens of markets in partnership with host governments, multilateral institutions, civil society organizations and industry leaders, and continues to serve as an advisor to both public institutions and private developers.

He is the principal editor for a series of open-source guidebooks for governments titled (Understanding Power Purchase Agreements, Understanding Power Project Financing, and Understanding Power Project Procurement) and a contributor to a handbook on the management of sovereign debt published by the African Development Bank (Understanding Sovereign Debt).

Mohamed began his career with the public international law group of Latham & Watkins LLP in New York and Dubai and as a law clerk to the Hon. William H. Walls of the United States District Court of New Jersey (Newark).
