Ingvild Ombudstvedt

Ingvild Ombudstvedt is a lawyer and economist, and the owner and founder of IOM Law. She has been working on legal issues relating to CCS, CCU, CCUS and petroleum since 2012 gained extensive experience with these issues globally. She works with private and public clients on regulatory, contractual and commercial activities and has extensive experience with capacity building and development of legal frameworks for petroleum, CCS and negative emissions.
Ingvild is appointed subject matter expert (since 2014) for CO2 storage, CO2-EOR, shipping, and quantification verification, by the Norwegian Mirror Committee as part of the ISO Technical Committee TC 265, which is established to provide ISO standards for CCS and CO2-EOR. She is also a subject matter expert to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) TC 474 for CCUS. She is appointed Chair of the Norwegian Mirror Committee (delegation) to both these technical committees.
She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo, Norway, and is currently taking a Master of Laws in U.S. Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law at Lewis and Clark, in Oregon, US.
Ingvild is Member of the Norwegian Bar Association and IR Global.
